Feels so good...

So, with out a doubt this is the cleanest our fields have been in years, between a goal of starting weeding shortly after seeding, and the bad weather this spring which forced us out to the field any chance we had between dourpours, helped us give the pumpkins every advantage we can, the fields look great now. We have one pumpkin softball size and lots of pumpkins setting up, there are still a few sections of late planting that is trying to catch up, but most sections look as good as the plants seeded before may long weekend.
We had our first weekend of corn selling this weekend, we haven't had corn for august long weekend for many years, so i am pretty proud of it being ready this year.
Our new stand seems to be working really well, and provides great shade even with the hot weather we had this weekend. We have a little bit of beans ready and will start picking tomato's soon.

Last year we saw quite a bit of racoon damage, and this year we have been getting even more. We have caught 5 racoons in the last four days, even two youngs ones in the trap at the same time. We are happy to have moved them to a lovely patch of forest far, far away and hope they are having a wonder family reunion there.

We have been so busy as of lately, summer is just flying past, we had a visit from my sister from edmonton last night and her daughter, it was nice to see her and meet her daughter. We are very excited for autumn's last race of the season tomorrow night, which means i guess i will put on my bike mechanic's hat and make sure her bike is ready to go.

Other then that we are spending this week getting ready for the garage sale we have wanted to have the last few years and hopefully i will get the rest of my garage cleaned up from building the new roadside stand but for now it is off to cut the grass.

But thankfully the kids always find time to walk in the rain as we get ready to sell corn.
